Helping others to pitch, what I do now is wait if I see if they are having trouble, I will make a point of walking past and will usually say,if you need a hand just say. Most camper with say thanks and struggle on and get their in the end,some will say no we can do it, and make you feel belittled for asking ,Normally now I will sit and watch and if they really are getting in a mess especially with a large lightweight tent in the wind I will go over and say do you want help,even at this stage I have been turned down.
An extra hand when erecting a tent is always welcome.even if it is just to hold a guy rope or pole.
