Westbrook Farm Park (bestparks) (Shrop /Worc Border)

http://www.bestparks.co.uk/westbrook/westbrook.htm

Not an all singing, clubhouse, pool, type site but more than I expected! A very well laid out sheltered site that's a credit to the owners.

Flat roomy large pitches, and your car is right by you but not obstructive or spoils others views. Making it so easy to pack/unpack.And with TV, power, and water point also to hand making it such an easy and pleasant set up. many have a large hedge to the back of your pitch for shade and makes a good wind brake.

The toilets/showers are 1st class, real road and pathways around the site so even with bad weather you won't muddy your abode!

What you must keep in mind though is that it entails a car journey to even do a basic shopping trip, but that can be a bonus in just discovering those hidden gems around and about.

The larger town of Ludlow for the races and there famous food fair is a short drive, and also Leominster great shopping and a large car boot held on Sundays.

For the more adventurous, you have a good stretch of the river Teme for fishing, walks etc and ideal for the dog lovers.

For those with youngsters! to be honest, concerns on the close proximity of the river and the steep banking calls for vigilance. They have a basic play area and lots of space for ball games.

They have a riverside orchard! that for a picnic or just to sit and take five is a real bonus.

The local pub is a short walk away a nice stroll through that orchard, that offers good food, but did lack ambiance.

All in all a peaceful site set in a glorious area. The owners stand no nonsense, and a couple of tourers who held a very rowdy party until 04.00am got an early call and and where turfed off the site pronto.

We hope to make many more visits to this lovely site.
