Hi there all!

My name is Karen and am 40 years young, am a teacher (hence the inventive user name!!) and have one daughter (age 9).

We enjoy camping in our Conway Trailer Tent most weekends although, I will confess that we ARE fairweather campers....sorry!!!

I have camped since I was a young child and my daughter has been doing it since she was a baby..we LOVE it!

Growing old is mandatory, growing up discretionary, laughing at yourself positively therapeutic.

Hi all, I'm Gaz (25) I am not married but have been with my girlfirend Nedra (25) for over 8 years, We have a son Hayden (1) who loves to camp,
Our caravan is called carrie the Charisma and we have Vernon the Vango tent towed behind Nedra's Hyundai (Not named)
I love everything outdoors, the only thing I hate is towing which is Nedras job! I open the sweets and read the map.
We live in Worcestershire .
My hobby is cooking and camping (obviously)

Hi all
Known as Know it all to some in my past   but to my friends as Rex my partner name is Val we are both around our so called allotted span
But still love to be out under canvas.
I am now partially disabled with multiple joint arthritis which limits my ability to physically do things so my life at home is spent right here at the keyboard ,and it give me great pleasure if I can help a member with anything to do with camping and it also keeps my old gray matter from meltdown
Please accept the odd spelling mistake or grammar mess up.but like others I was diagnosed as dyslexic many years ago. I get by with Google Check
My best wishes to you all and may this forum go from strength to strength.
Rex.

Camping is a special way of life, with a special kind of person who can make friends, even with other campers we have never met.

My friends, may the wind be always at your back.

Hi, Leon here, my fiance is Lisa - no kids yet but we do have a 3 year old Bearded Collie, Lily!!! We've been camping now for around five years and have lost count of the number of tents we've bought! We've now settled on our favourite style, the canvas pyramid, and currently have a De Waard Lepelaar (new last year), a Cabanon Guadeloupe (second hand but in A1 condition) and a little Esvo Vrolie 240 which I bought a few weeks ago for touring holidays! I just stumbled on this forum whilst on the lookout for Rex(!!!), and it is looking great whith a fair amount of traffic! Good luck with it!

Hello to one and all, including some handles that I recognise from elsewhere  !!
I live in Glossop in the Derbyshire Peak District.
Work-wise I am into crowd-control, though some of you may know it better as "secondary school teacher".
My main units are an Outwell Minnesota 4 with extension and a Royal Dayroom which I use as a cook tent for any camp longer than a couple of nights.
My preferred sites are not large, they are away from towns and cities and, preferably, villages, have a "naturalistic" setting but with decent showers and toilets and are run by people who are not simply trying to make some money from a bit of spare land but take a pride in the service that they offer. And if they can do all this for £1.50 a night then all the better.

Hi everyone

We are Karen & Dave, both aged 49 and live in Cheshire. We have four children between us, all grown-up, and one grandson aged 10.

We both love the outdoor life and camping whenever we get chance, although we both work full-time and don't get much spare time to oursevles.

We love all the places we go in this country and never feel the need to go abroad - there is always somewhere new to explore. Among our favourite places are Robin Hoods Bay in Yorkshire, St Ives, Cornwall and South Devon. We have recently spent a week in the Lake District and love it there now too! We live quite close to Wales and enjoy camping around the Welsh coast and mountains.

We have several tents and have just bought a Pennine Sterling FC which we pick up tomorrow morning, both very excited.

We have a 20 month old Westie called Paddy who we thought would take to camping like a duck to water, but he hasn't lol - but we keep hoping! We have had to resort to putting him into kennels this year when we go, but will not give up :-)

hello we are chris and gill both 40 and we have been camping for around 6 years as a couple although i have camped since being about 11.
we own a few tents for various reasons and only yesterday i became the proud owner of a new cabanon however we cannot find the model name.
we try to camp as often as we can but we both work full time so time off together is not always easy.
we did germany france and belgium this year without our teenage daughters and we had a ball, we are looking forward to a week in cornwall and 3 nights in october in our new cabanon
