When we visited Alton Towers last year , we stayed at Leek camping & caravanning club site ... http://www.siteseeker.co.uk/aspx/details.aspx?id=6220

En-route to Alton Towers , we passed one called Star camping park which was very close . ... http://www.starcaravanpark.co.uk/ , does look to be expensive

Also en-route from leek we passed a zoo called Blackbrook zooilogical park which is well worth a visit , if in the area ... http://www.blackbrookzoo.co.uk/
