The pennine pullman 2006 guy line attachments

Hi all
While camping in south wales on Tuesday night we had estimated gale 8 at our site that is open to the elements. Storm 10 registered on the SW Gower coast at the same time. The unit and awning stood up quite well but 2 out of 6 guying attachments broke one on the awning and one on the unit the sowing held the tape broke, this really is unacceptable for and expensive folding camper just two years old ,I wonder what would be the result if I had not fitted my 80mm storm strap http://rexgrant.webs.com/apps/photos/ph ... d=32139330 For members who use these late model pennine folding campers I recommend you check your guy attachments you may find that you will require them one day
My self I am going to have all mine replaced with stronger ones next time may be a Severe Gale 9 with 50mph winds :?::?: :x
Regards
Rex.
Camping is a special way of life, with a special kind of person who can make friends, even with other campers we have never met.

My friends, may the wind be always at your back.
