I all
We took our Pullman away for a couple of days down to Pool in Dorset and just used the tarp as a awning,but I am afraid I don't like it ,even though it as all the luxury and camping niceties built in and a Ten-Cate cover it still feels like a caravan to me,so Val as agreed to sell it after our June meet and two week stay at Skipton. and we have decided to get a Camplet Concorde
Sleep off the ground but sit and relax with feet firmly planted on Terra Ferma :wink:

I have to agree these campers are a wonderful invention for a family who don't want to tow a massive caravan for their family of six ,Two double beds and a king-sized bed is far too big for two of us :roll:

and just luck at the size of it 5.5 meters long when set up

Strewth Rex, it looks great, i wish i could afford it or had somewhere to store it, just what Julie and i need, you don't know when your well off, if your bothered about sleeping in the big bed you could always drag a sleeping bag into the awning and sleep out there :D

Looks like heaven to me all the luxury of a caravan with out the tin roof.....

All it needs is a bathroom and it would be perfect I do like my own loo..

I was the same with the little motorhome we had and also the two caravans we tried 10 years back. To me its just not the same as a tent. Plus the fact it is a huge looking monstosity when erected with its skirts and awning,
It is just not my cup of tea Val likes it but worries about over wintering it even though I have that sorted.
So its got to go ,Then we will take a short holiday over in the Netherlands in the P4 and visit the camp let dealers over there. we should get a better deal
and we could bring it home.
I did try to persuade Val we should get a Karsten from marktplaats but failed miserably :cry:

But she does like the camplet concorde
But look at this for less than a new camplett it is the 30th tent down for 3,199 euro http://www.marktplaats.nl/

Well Rex, i prefer tents myself, you just can't beat camping under canvas but with how i am at the moment i have to consider what i can manage, i have brilliant freinds who help me out but i shouldn't rely on them, it's not right, if i could have a flip and pitch trailer tent it would be bliss

Aint gonna happen though, so it's just a dream :P

Dreams have a habit of coming true :wink:

We have changed our mind again and have decided on the cabanon venus TT.we were surfing the net until three this morning.
This is TT what I suggested to Val at the start. and can be bought used very reasonable,we would need the tall annex and the sunshade and a front box,
but I have seen them come up for sale for under £2K now and again with all that.
Yes the Penine is nice but when you have multi joint arthritis and your partner as pasted her three score years and ten .the Pullman is hard work for us. and the reports on the camplets are not the best. so we will go for a product that I know Cabanon :wink:

Hope you are starting to regain you health,but your problem must be a day to day worry.

Yes I really would like a set up like that , must be the simplest of all tents to erect and the safest when up. But Val totally refuses to even discuss spending over £3,500 on a tent, I can not understand why :lol:

Hi all
All change again
We are off to try out the Pyramid 4 on Monday 01/06/2009 at Slapton with an EHU, we have just placed an order for one of these to use in place of a trailer or roof box http://www.roofracks.co.uk/main/easybase.htm but will only be require on longer holidays were more equipment will be required.
We hope to put the Pullman on eBay when we come back from Slapton and will come up north with the tent :D depending on the sale of the Pullman if it sells for the buy it now price we may come up north earlier.

I have read a lot about them and the owner reviews are very good they say use these boxes in conjunction with a cool bag just keep frozen Items in the box and only open to take things out once out they stay out in the cool bag and it should keep think frozen for a week then replace the ICE if you stay longer.

Val as decided we will use the Pennine Pullman for the Yorkshire trip after all :shock:

then we will sell it,I hope she is not having second thoughts :cry:

Rex at least with the pullman should you not managed to get the "whole thing " up in one go you can still zip up and close the door like a caravan.. and do the rest the next day.
