Inflatable Beds

Postby rexgrant on Wed Jul 22, 2009 8:54 am

Hi all
Always on the look out for camping gear and reading and looking at these beds I think they may be good, If I was going back to a double bed in the frame tent I could be tempted to give one of these comfort frame beds a try

Camping is a special way of life, with a special kind of person who can make friends, even with other campers we have never met.

My friends, may the wind be always at your back.

I wouldnt bother Rex TBH, over the course of the night they go down the same as any air bed does and can make it more difficult to get out of.

Adam and I bought ourselves one of these each for camping
Anywhere bed
the frame supports the sleeve that you slide the sir mattress into.
Ours came with 3 ft air beds but these look like they are with out worth looking around for better prices.

They are very comfy but dont fit every bed space . But there again double height air beds dont always fit either.

I daisy.
I have virtually cured the problem of the beds going down, due to valve loss,I stick this over the valve and it works http://www.amazon.co.uk/Duck-Tape-Power ... B000J6CTBI leaves it a bit sticky until you get home and clean it off but at least the bed stays up.
As you say they are big beds and only suitable for frame tents with big bedrooms like the Cabanon Andorra,
But it always good to find out the facts about them. Expensive for a bed that wont stay inflated.

the frame beds I showed you fit two side by side in a standard quechua tent (and have been)

They get you off the ground and have a little more firmness to them than still pushing up from ground zero.
