Halse Farm Caravan and campsite Exmoor somerset

Postby rexgrant on Tue Apr 14, 2009 10:04 pm

Hi all
my other Exmoor review was more for the tent camper ,now here is a gem of a site for Both caravans and tents Way up on top of the moor.
This site once again is for the true country loving camper but is again in striking distance of most North Devon and Somerset coastal towns and the lovely old towns on the moor.
http://www.halsefarm.co.uk/ the site is about a mile above Winsford a beautiful village were you can spend half a day searching for the 8 bridges in the village that cross the streams and small rivers around and in the village
It is a wonderful site to stay for your first visit to north somerset and Devon
I would recommend you buy this O/S map if you go https://www.dash4it.co.uk/store/product ... ts_id=1265
You will find it very useful. out there in the wilds, and don't forget They have a beast on the moor.
link to Winsford and the ford is still in use:D http://www.winsfordexmoor.co.uk/winsford.html

I can recommend this site for a quite holiday to explore exmoor on foot or by car
Rex.
Camping is a special way of life, with a special kind of person who can make friends, even with other campers we have never met.

My friends, may the wind be always at your back.
