We've visited here dozens of times, and always enjoy our stay. The site is an old sheep farm. Malcolm turned to camping when it was dearer to have the sheep sheared than all the wool was worth, and I bet he's never looked back. He still has a few sheep on the land, keep the grass down and he personally picks up all the droppings by hand. The sheep don't bother anyone. This is really a back to basics camp site, toilet block, pot washing room and 1 shower. No camp shop! The nearest shop is about 7 miles away in Gargrave. So make sure you have all your provisions. There are 2 pubs in Malham village and a couple of cafes.

The walking in the area is marvellous, with numerous places to visit. Not forgetting the magnificent GORDALE SCAR. If you haven't been to see it then get in your car and go NOW!
