Well our Icey Tec cool box came this morning with 2 Aussie gel packs. The sites it is meant for have no jell pack freezing freezing and are miles from a shop

Do they have extra heating qualities or will enamel go cold quick?

I don't think they have any additional keep warm qualities but they are fireproof and tough.As they may have to be washed with sand in a stream in the near future,
