Postby Hiekel Essterol on Tue Jul 28, 2009 7:30 am

Does anyone know where to get the folding bbq that was put to great use at Knight Stainforth under Rex's canopy? Its the one that folds completely flat.

Cheers.

Hi HE
Here.

One thing to note about these BBQ, they don't recommend you use lump-wood Charcoal as it burns very hot, I used it in mine a few times and it distorted but brickets and the easy light stuff should be fine.
Regards
Rex.
Camping is a special way of life, with a special kind of person who can make friends, even with other campers we have never met.

My friends, may the wind be always at your back.

I've got the Otwell one and I'm not over keen: the metal bars on which the coals stand distorts terribly. My favourite for camping is the sub-£5 one from LIDL. It breaks down to a fairly compact size and is higher off the ground. And it's cheap enough that, if you break it, you don't feel too bad about replacing it.

By the way, I was unaware of the Kendal Camping Centre discount. Are there any more places (other than Deltas) that offer us discounts? Is there a list somewhere?
23rd-29th May:- Lanefoot Farm, Keswick. (Good but over-full)
27th-29th July:- Fieldhead Camp Site, Edale. (Good but not for us.)
3rd-7th August:- Studfold Farm, Lofthouse. (Wonderful.)
4th-5th September:- Mandale Farm, nr Bakewell. (Very good)
BUT THAT'S IT FOR THIS YEAR!!
