Camping furniture and tent design

Postby rexgrant on Wed May 27, 2009 1:14 pm

Hi all.
Designer's for camping equipment, most must never have spent a night in a tent.
Why For a start they think campers are sardines as this is how they specify the tent accommodation ,and we all know the majority of family type camping tents you require a four berth for two people or a six berth for four people. if you require room to move around just a little.
Chairs if you require a chair with adjustable legs you have to buy a fishing chair ,they do make one or two tables with adjustable legs, and camp furniture their adjustable legs if any is a joke, and let us face it your kitchen cooker unit is one that really requires adjustable legs.
Don'T you think the designers would have worked out before now that camp site pitches are not flat and some require a three inch adjustment over the distance of one cooker unit note the 4" building brick leveling up my cooking unit in this link http://rexgrant.webs.com/apps/photos/ph ... d=24982429
Do you suppose they think that we campers are a little slow, myself I buy equipment made for the specimen fishermen were I can.
What do you think.adjustable legs would make camping far more enjoyable for all
Rex.
Camping is a special way of life, with a special kind of person who can make friends, even with other campers we have never met.

My friends, may the wind be always at your back.
