Hi all
Val just read it out of the new your place in the country book or was it the new big site book. it was the big site book If your tent is over 5m wide or 9 meters long you will have to book a Jumbo pitch at an additional cost spw C*y more expense for the larger family.
Rex.
Camping is a special way of life, with a special kind of person who can make friends, even with other campers we have never met.

My friends, may the wind be always at your back.

We had to buy a new awning because we had so much grief over the size. We had a Dorema `President Vario`, which addmittedly was `very` large, but it wasnt until we arrived on site with it that we had problems.
We were once put on a hard standing pitch and then moved half way through putting the awning up as we had `contravened` the 20 ft rule. With this particular awning they wont let you have a hard standing pitch. In the end we bought a sun cannopy, but it wasnt any good if the weather was bad or you were anywhere for any length of time. Brilliant for short stay though.
Eventually we replaced the big awning with a standard 9fter.
In all fairness it `is` easier for us to put up.
I do agree though that there seem to be more and more regulations from C & C. It doenst seem to be as relaxed as it used to be. The day I give up my membership will be the day they put CCTV cameras on all the sites, for `our own` safety.
Any one want to buy a President Vario awning, used only 6 times.? lol
