Was nice meeting you both again Alec and your great family, we had a brilliant weekend and what a lovely site, just plastering the calomine on the midge bites at present

I'll post a more in depth report tomorrow as i am really tired at the moment

This is why my Coleman Lakeside 4 was replaced by my Outwell Minnesota 4 as my main tent after just one season - we were mercilessly bitten by midges and now I can hide behind the mesh in my SIG living area and laugh at the little buggers.....and the poor blighters caught outside.
23rd-29th May:- Lanefoot Farm, Keswick. (Good but over-full)
27th-29th July:- Fieldhead Camp Site, Edale. (Good but not for us.)
3rd-7th August:- Studfold Farm, Lofthouse. (Wonderful.)
4th-5th September:- Mandale Farm, nr Bakewell. (Very good)
BUT THAT'S IT FOR THIS YEAR!!

I think Rex had more beer in three days than he's had in the past three years
Not surprised he brought the curtain down early, mind you, he's good at bringing the curtain down, ROFLMAO

I'm gutted. Got back in to work this morning to find I'm not expected back until tomorrow. I had forgotten we had both booked Tuesday off so we could have had the 2 extra days not 1. Just think I could have had an extra 24 hours with the midges.

What a bummer, never mind, think of it as rescuing Bernie from death by midges

Tonight,I had a small accident, I tripped into the caravan and hurt my ankle in fact i thought it was broken. Lucky for me though, a group of lads on army training manovers helped me out. 3 took down and packed my awning,1 made me a brew, and 6!!!! Of them took turns putting a support bandage on my ankle. Oooooohhh young man. Anyway they have sat at the van with me till now and one even offered to make my bed for me. But me being the shy type told him yes if you dont mind oh and i get very cold in the night... He asked me if i wanted him to stay REALLY i then had to back down darn it he was only 22 ahhhh i may not sleep tonight now.. See you all soon. Xxx

well Im home at last please note the time of this post, and know that I was woken nice an early(6.30am) buy 3 young men, offering to make me a brew before they set off on the rest of their training... lol who would believe it..

all my wonderful company and service cost me was 1 bottle of insect repellant, 2 pkts of biscuits, a bit of aftersun, 1 tim of tommy soup a tin of macaroni cheese (they were all starving and were not allowed in shops) oh and some orange juice!
I almost forgot I charged up the total of 6 telephones well they were on basic rations...lol

What a fantastic stay I have had the midges only came back last night and have been gone since Monday... the weather in Stockport is so much hotter than Settle, Oh well a great meet and THANKS to DAVE AND ANGELA for arranging it WELL DONE you two xxx
